I hope you had the opportunity to see the article of our site in the Daily Union, April 22. Now, you have a face to attach to the site. I would like to say; “Thank you!” to both, Linda Gilmore for writing the great article, and Pastor Brad Dyrness (The Church of the Nazarene) for the supportive statements.
I was raised in a very religious family. I was taught that we are all in the family of God. So I would like to reach out to all of you, my brothers and sisters, to share that family tie. We are the children of God. (1 Jn 3:1)
My goal is to link all churches in the area of Junction City, Kansas. Our directory listing will be a valuable tool for religious leaders, religious seekers, and local organizations.
I have already received great interest from our local Church Women United (http://www.jcchurches.net/cwu.html) and the Ministerial Alliance.
They have access to the calendar, with which they could place upcoming events. And I wish that more of our enrolled churches would take advantage of this powerful tool; http://www.calsnet.net/jcall . If you would like to enroll, to be able to add events into the ALL church calendar, than contact me at george@jcchurches.net .
Upcoming events are:
If you have any events, that you would like others to know about, enroll with the jcchurches.net community, and then, you too could place them into the calendar.
I have extended the deadline for the trivia entries to June 20th, 2004.
So dust off that old cornerstone, and send in the year your church (1) was built.
Look up to your steeple and find the (2) height.
Your church may not be tall, but it may cover a lot of firm ground. (3) square footage How long has your congregation (4/5) [ oldest & newest ] been worshiping?
The Good News reaches how many souls within your doors. (6/7) most & fewest
This is an added bonus, from an idea presented by my six year old daughter; Ashley. If your church “WINS” one of these categories, then your listing is half off. PLUS, I will highlight your church listing.
I believe in the divine power of prayer, therefore, I have included a prayer request form on the website. By submitting a prayer into the form, it will be emailed to all those who will pray for that request.
Does your congregation have a prayer chain? (group) Ask them if they would like to receive emails with prayer requests from this area community. I could add them to the ever needed list of Prayer Warriors. If you, or someone you know, would be interested, send an email to ray@jcchurches.net">pray@jcchurches.net . If you already have an email address used for prayer requests, send that to me and we could link back. You could then forward your requests to warriors@jcchurches.net .
Please pray for this ministry, as it will also be praying for your ministries as well.
If you want to leave a more permanent prayer request or praises, then go to the forum entry located on the share ideas page. Here you could also place web page ideas or suggest links to be used.
[ Don’t forget the Free Links entry button, also located on the share page.]
If your church, organization, or business has a website, consider asking them to place a link to us. If your organization or church does not have a website, or needs to update their current one, why not let me do that for you? (http://yours.at/webworks)
If you know of any tools or links that you would like included on this site, please reply to this newsletter with your ideas. After all, this site is for us all to share.
